SOLVATIO is a knowledge-based expert system that was developed for the assistance of the customer service and support. The main focus of this system lies in the field of mechanical engineering. The required machineries' monitoring information is gained either by the operator or by sensors in the machine (via OPC protocol). These data are analyzed by a knowledge base developed by experts. The resulting proposals to solve problems are sent forward to the operator or the machine.

Development of a diagnostic system to support the service staff in the fault diagnosis of printing machines. On the basis of data generated by the printing machine, the diagnostic system allows potential error sources to be identified and repaired. The diagnosis can be carried out with the same functionality either on a central server (web based) or on the computer of the service employee (local).
